In December we finished up our roadtrip! We moved pretty quickly up the east coast, spending the last couple nights camping in Congaree National Park before heading home for a month. During that month, we’ve had a bunch of things to take care of before setting out to travel Asia and Oceania for 2018!
What did we spend in December?
Category | Spending |
---|---|
Misc. bills and insurance | $310 |
Transportation | $395 |
Food | $837 |
Lodging | $1,043 |
Healthcare | $64 |
Shopping & Activities | $314 |
Total | $2,963 |
So the final tally comes out to: $96 / day

We were extremely fortunate to already have much of the equipment we used, especially a car, and didn’t count that stuffs’ depreciation in our accounting. That said, we’re finding that travel (even in the United States) really doesn’t take as much as people might think.
What an amazing trip! Enjoy your international travel!
Thanks! Still so much of the US to see too. Guess we’ll have to do another road trip sometime soon 🙂
What bucket does the two hour Andy playtime chaperone come out of? Is that activities?
