We spent 24 days in Nepal. We had originally planned a few nights in Kathmandu, then trekking, then visiting Pokhara and Chitwan. Unfortunately, the illness gods intervened and we spent over a week in Kathmandu before trekking Langtang for about a week. Got sick again, and returned to Kathmandu. We stayed in Kathmandu for the rest of our time in Nepal. Can’t wait to go back and see Pokhara and Chitwan, as well as re-attempt trekking while healthy!
5 favorite things about Nepal
- Thamel area of Kathmandu. It’s pretty touristy, but it’s still a lot of fun
- Langtang Trek. Just try not to get sick
- Meeting up with Christina!
- Exploring Bhaktapur and seeing a chariot pull
- Nepalese are some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. Even the tourist souvenir shop owners are friendly and not pushy.
