Lisbon Stopover

Our flight from Morocco to the USA had a layover in Lisbon, so we went ahead and extended it to 5 days. The Christmas decorations and markets were in full swing.
The amount and variety of cobblestones is mind-blowing.

One of the trams that go up the steep hills. We got a good leg workout by walking up and down the hills instead. Luckily we had beautiful weather and had a wonderful time walking all around the city.  Priscilla has a similar photo of this spot from when she lived here in the 90s. We got to the São Jorge Castle at just the right time to avoid most of the crowds and watch the sun set. We’re not that good, we just got lucky. On this day, I ate 4 Pasteis de Nata and maybe felt a bit sick afterwards. Priscilla held herself to two somehow. Palms are sweaty…

…knees weak, arms are heavy: Each street downtown has a different set of light decorations.
