We spent the rest of our time in Vermont chopping firewood. Loved it… lumberjacking (?) is in our future.
Managed to sneak in a hike up Putney Mountain with Sylvia and chatted with Mr. Anderson on his daily hawk watch. He ID’ed the caterpillars we’re seeing everywhere as Hickory Tussock moths. If we figure out why they’re so plentiful this year, we’re to return to the mountain top and let him know. He’ll be there for the next 70 days or so.
A neighbor keeps his cattle in the pasture. They’re curious beasts. Or confused.
We biked to the river for afternoon swims and to enjoy the lovely weather.
Andy, you have the beard, and I know you have flannel.. next logical step is to start producing paper towels!
You’re looking out for my future, buddy. I appreciate that you see the potential here!
Love the wood chopping gifs!
Thanks! We happened to get lucky twice in a row haha
